Today's Saturday became Sunday

I made a bold move today.

I went to the nearest mall which is called Market, Market! and walked everywhere in search of a post office. why? earlier that day, I finished personalizing, writing postcards! it was fun, I tell ya. I love bringing out my creative side. along with that creativity, I have a way with words when it comes to writing personal messages or letters. Anyways, it was an accomplishment because I finally found that inconspicuous postal service kiosk. it wasn't easy and I almost gave up finding one. I was kind of pressed for time because I was attending a church youth service in hopes of finding and connecting to a group... a bible study group if you will. anyways, before I talk about what happened tonight, I shall talk about how difficult it was for me to find this post office! at first someone said it was on the 2nd floor and I had searched and searched the whole floor. ugh. then I went to the fourth floor and did some window shopping... actually browsing some dvds. I wanted some more movies in my collection. After making some purchases, I didn't want to give up just yet and I still had about 45 minutes until I had to walk on over to the church which is right next to the mall. I had decided to ask the concierge on the first floor about where I can find the post office. the lady told me 3rd floor! so it wasn't the 2nd floor after all! ugh. I looked and looked and I still couldn't find it! I had no choice but to walk 2 escalators down to the 1st floor again and asked the concierge to really describe to me where exactly is the post office. the key word she told me was it was a KIOSK. so it doesn't have a building space. lol it helped because i actually found it! yay! and it was pretty cheap to send 15 postcards! as compared to LBC and Western Union (i thought there was no post office in the philippines lol), it was waaaaay cheaper. it's practically 200 pesos! internationally too! I can't wait to send postcards for Christmas! :]

and a number of my friends from the states already received the ones I had given to my dad to send to everyone lol I really loved writing each and every one of them. I do. and if you're reading this now and would like to receive stuff in the mail from another country.... message me your address!

so after buying a boba taro drink, I walked over to victory church and met "coach dan" who is a campus pastor for GCIC. really nice guy... made me feel more at home at the church and introduced me to different people... And God spoke to me this evening. one of the things was that I made another step into really getting to know Him. I made a step to really involve myself in church. I know my purpose in being here in the Philippines was to really focus in school. and not really involve myself too much in church. But I realize I need to feed myself spiritually. I can't go on without going to church on sunday. it just isn't right... it doesn't feel right in my heart. I want to deepen my relationship with God and this is my chance to make that first step myself. I don't have to feel obligated because my parents are leaders of the church. I go because I want to. and so I did! Thank you Lord.

I am ever so thankful I made that first step.
