SLEEEEP

Why do we need sleep?

It's really becoming a bad habit. Ever since the start of my second semester before I graduated, I've been sleeping at around 11 - 1pm. And I would get less than 8 hours of sleep when I should be sleeping for 8 - 10 hours. No wonder I've been having a hard time losing weight. Sleep is key! Especially when I work out at night. Jonnica and other friends can testify to that. How can people workout from 12 -6 in the morning? I know there are people out there who workout in the wee small hours in the morning. It's crazyinsane! Unless these people sleep throughout the day, they need their 8 hours of decent sleep. I'm talking about you, Gabby Young. I know it's called 24hr Fitness for a reason, but there are some 24 gyms out there that don't actually open 24 hours. Man, I really feel sorry for that guy who takes that shift around midnight.

Don't you just love it when I digress?
anyways... the reason why we need sleep is the simplest question we can all answer to. We need that energy we use up for the day, we need our beauty rest, or we just love sleep! But for most of us high school/college students, our mind doesn't want to sleep. We facebook, twitter, youtube, myspace, play WoW, IM, etc. all through the night. I must say, this is really unhealthy. I admit it's not good for me and it really takes time away from what's really important. This is one of the changes that need to be made for myself. I need to bring back my focus to what really matters and that's God.

This blog post is really a note-to-self and I will try my best from now on to get a good 8 - 10 hours of sleep. I really need to ready myself for the start of college. It's time to really wake up (no pun intended) to the things I have been trying to get away from. Because of the lack of sleeping hours, I have been lazy and unmotivated and I don't want that for my first year in college. I need my energy!

So, why do we need sleep?
