Not only has our perception of beauty been distorted...

... but so has our definition of love. What the media has defined it to be is just a little messed up.... just a little.

Time is meaningless, when you fall in love

FALSE
When I first heard that quote in this filipino movie I watched tonight, I liked it but while watching the movie, I realized it didn't ring true to my ears. It depends how you look at this quote... you can either think that it doesn't matter how long you've loved this person, 3 months or 3 years, it's really about how much you love that person... OR you loved that person once... then you see that person 5 years later, you still love that person (so it doesn't matter how long you haven't seen that person because time is meaningless... you still love that person). eh I could be wrong on that second option but you have to watch the movie. while I was watching the movie, I was going with option #1 and that the quote is false. a relationship does take time and all your effort and love and patience. there was a scene where the girlfriend was arguing with John Lloyd Cruz that you can't love and marry a person after getting to know them for 3 months especially when you dumped a girl you've known and loved for 3 years.

I know, I know... filipino movie chick flicks aren't the greatest but I couldn't help thinking about the message this movie gave out... and that quote. and I just love blogging about love and relationships. don't judge. haha.

anyways, I would have to agree with the antagonist in the movie.
LOVE IS PATIENT
and what the movie was saying is that no matter how long you have known that person, you can fall in love in an instant. I mean, for a second just don't think about the fact that it's just a movie. it really does happen! people fall in love at first sight, date a couple of months, get married.... just like that. and sometimes (well most of the time) it may not end happily like how the movies end.
sure, you can "fall in love instantly" but you can fall out of it. if you can fall in, you can fall out.

ok, i've ran out of things to say on this topic. haha. I'm sure there's more but I'm pretty tired. it was a good movie though... I've been wanting to watch a filipino movie for awhile. it's so much better in theaters I have to say; the quality is so much better because if you watch movies on TFC (the filipino channel), the picture doesn't look refined... like the movies came from the 80s.

alrighty, I was suppose to talk about friday (because I wrote to be continued) but who actually reads this anyway? lol All I can say is it was a pretty interesting thursday and friday.

yup, I'll leave it at that.
happy palm sunday everyone :]
