The social network is amazing! I never thought I would be able to find you but I did! From time to time I would think back to my English class, my sophomore year in high school. My first impression of you was that you were just another teacher to me and I didn't expect much. Boy, was I wrong.
Ms. Ann Lee, during my high school years, you were by far one of my favorite teachers ever. I remember it was your first year teaching at a public high school if I'm not mistaken. You may not have had that much experience compared to other teachers on campus, but you were most certainly more than ordinary... I saw how passionate you were. You had direction and knew what you were doing... at least from my point of view I thought so. You're beautiful and you graduated from Harvard? That's pretty amazing.
You may not remember me, but I was your student in the year 2006-2007 and I took SAT Prep at HarvardSquare2 Academy sometime that year into the summer. I would like to take this time to thank you for what you have taught me... and it was more than just the subject English itself. You helped shape my values and you have inspired me from that year forward. I thank God for having you as my teacher. It was pretty cool to know that you're a Christian and that you never drank alcohol or got drunk, ever. I was so impressed. In my mind, I was thinking, "I want to do just that! I want to follow that and say that I never drank either." and of course, I never drank alcohol up until this day. I never really partied and if I did go to one, it would mostly be family parties or my friend's family. Even when I'm out with friends who drink, I don't even dare take a sip.
You were one of the people that has somehow molded me into the person I am now. I loved listening to your stories and some of them I still remember. I pray that all is well with you and your family. May you continue to teach young people not only the academics but also life lessons. I hope you inspire others as much as you have inspired me. Because of you, I have been pretty strict with my own grammar and I would even correct others. haha.
Again, thank you so much and I am so glad I had you as my English teacher that year, even if it was for a short time. Thank God and may He bless you in many areas of your life.
