10 Resolutions

Yes, I am very much aware that it isn't even New Year's, let alone Christmas! (and I'm already listening to Christmas songs as we speak!) But I believe resolutions never work if they're only done annually... they must be done on a regular basis, whether it be weekly, monthly-- I mean, we as people set short-term goals, right?

Well, with a new semester just around the corner (oh no, semester break is coming to an end!), there are changes that need to be made and habits to break.

1.
first things first, NO TELEVISION on school nights
or no TV as much as possible.
during my break, my dad got me cable...
and oh boy has that consumed much of my free time.
Before, I only had my DVDs to watch
and I got a lot of things done in my condo,
I was productive!
and it's time to bring that back as soon as school starts!

2.
My dad has been pounding this into my head for the longest time,
I must WATCH MY BUDGET
and actually follow it and not overspend.
along with that, I have to keep track of my expenses
it is such a pain because I'm not consistent with it!
But knowing how much of a spender I can be,
I really need this.

3.
CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN!
I know it won't be an easy task during the weekdays,
but a few things I can do throughout the week
is declutter
There are times when I have a friend or two come over
and I at least do not want stuff on the couch,
dining table, or study table.
So as much as possible,
I must put the clutter away before leaving the area.

4.
Planning things ahead is key!
I like making lists and writing things down,
sometimes, the carrying-out of what needs to be done
is the problem.
So, sticking to what's on my grocery list
would greatly help me on #2

5.
BRING BAON instead of buying food at school.
I have diligently done so,
but during my semester break, I sorta broke this rule...
because, hey, no school!
I just hope I break this habit once classes begin.

6.
GO TO THE GYM.
this will be a toughie
because I had no motivation these past 2 weeks or so
I only went to the gym in my condo once.
So, I shall start easy by going at least once a week.

7.
TAKE THE BUS, not the taxi!
another toughie
because the taxi is faster
cons?
it's more expensive and not as safe as the bus
especially when alone.

8.
LESS FACEBOOK.
it's unrealistic to say no facebook at all.
I get swamped with homework and tests
you can't help but stress and go on facebook!
ya feel me?
I shall limit my time on social networks
(including blogspot!?)
to a minimal... maybe an hour??
that's a challenge...

9.
There's a time to be CREATIVE.
and that time shall be for the weekends
as much as possible.
Gotta manage my time for these things wisely.

10.
last, but certainly not the least
and the most important,
DEVOTIONS
time must be set aside for GOD!
I can not go a day without talking to Him.
PRAY unceasingly!

Be joyful always;
pray continually;
give thanks in all circumstances,
for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
