1. I'm doing my best to really understand you and I totally get it. It’s tough. It wasn't your decision... but guess what? There’s a reason why you are here. I want to tell you that I'm getting tired of your complaints. For the past week or two, I’ve been trying my very best to stay positive. I really dislike seeing the way you do all the time because who wants to be like that and feel like crap, you know? Yes, I miss home too but you have to understand that you’re here and you have to make the most out of it. You can’t always stay home and feel like nothing is going right. I wish you went out with us the other night so you can have a little fun. You ask me the same questions about home and my mom and if I’ll miss her… I know I will but I can’t mope about it. The only difference between you and me is that I want this. I’m seeking independence that I’ve wanted 2 years ago when I started college. I’m finally going to learn how to stand on my own two feet, make mistakes, and just grow up a little. So I hope you won’t feel too stressed out… so that you won’t stress me out and make me hate some of the teachers at school. I mean, there are so many things that outweigh the bad. You have to see the glass half full. You made friends here and you’re a really friendly person… heck, you can communicate with your classmates better than I can. At least you speak the language.
On the other hand, let me say this: I’m so glad that I’ve met someone like you and relieved that there’s someone who speaks English and is from the states. I pray that God may reveal Himself to you more… that you realize this is what God wants for you. He loves you very much. And I pray that His love may be more real to you than ever before. You are worth so much more than anything else… than any good work you can give Him. I hope that throughout our time here, we’ll be good friends and that God makes an impact in your life. I don’t want to convert you, no, that’s not my intention. It’s not important at the moment. I just want you to be happy and not feel mad or sad all the time. It makes me tired and weary whenever you say such things about the school.
2. You’re still family no matter how different we may be. It’s been awhile since we last saw each other. And it pained me to see what you wrote. I wanted to tell you that God is the reason why you are here alive on this earth today. There’s a reason why you’re born and God has blessed you with this precious life… so live it!
I pray that God may open the eyes of your heart. I pray that you may see that there’s more to this life than what is present now… that there are people in your life who love you and would be devastated if you just “disappeared.” I wouldn’t want that for you. I hope you get back on your feet and not give up on yourself. You have potential… you just need to see that you do. I love you and I pray that you see that Jesus does too. Live your life for Him and not for anyone else who you think does not want you. You are worth more than any riches this world could ever offer. I speak blessings to you.
3. PRAISE THE LORD! I was uplifted to hear that you wanted me to pray for you today. At that moment, I responded back in prayer (via text) and I hope to hear good things after your interview. I’m so sure you’ll get the job, but if not, that’s ok because that means there’s something out there better for you. My heart broke a little when you shared your current situation. I didn’t know it was even that bad. You admitted to us that you’re an atheist, but I pray to God that that might change. And it’s a step forward when you asked me to pray for you. God can do miracles in your life and He will. I pray that you will see that there is a God who loves you, despite who you are. I pray that He will turn your life around, a 180 degree turn. I pray that you allow Him to transform you. I mean, you’re a very empowering person, but what surprises me is that you don’t believe in God. Your life would be so much better when you have that relationship with Him. He can do so much in your life if you just let Jesus into your heart. You’ll be in my thoughts and prayers.
