Tell us something you used to do in the past that you are glad you are no longer doing today. Why are you happy about this change?

I'll name one or two things.
Some of my friends in elementary school/junior high know that I was boy crazy. I fell pretty hard for boys to the point where I would be stalking them. Like, that boy would be all I ever think about and looking back on all that, I was one crazy girl! And of course I'm happy about this change because my heart now belongs to the One who saved me. My true happiness comes from Him. And I'm most definitely a better person; I am more mature than when I was thirteen.

Another thing I used to do was read magazines... not only did I read them, but I subscribed to them so I can receive one in the mail every month. I used to have a huge stack of magazines sitting in my bedroom long ago until my mother told me to just through the old ones away... which means all of them. haha. To me that signifies how much I wanted to know what's going on in the world of celebrities and I wanted to know what's in fashion... what are the best clothes to wear. Don't get me wrong, I still love clothes... just what I like and sometimes it's not necessarily in fashion. I wear what I think looks good on me. I don't need the magazine to tell me what's cool and what's not cool to wear. it shouldn't be that much of importance to me. but hey, I'm still a girl.

It's nice to see that I've grown up since then. I've grown up spiritually as well... I've really come a long way since freshman year in high school. since junior high. Even though I've managed to get out of some habits and things that weren't good for me, I've still got some more growing up to do. more waking up and learning more lessons. I've definitely made a huge step for myself when I came here to the Philippines to study nursing.

Today in service, I realized that I have finally found a middle ground. I can study nursing but at the same time, not give up what I love to do and that's sing. I can always sing because I know I have this instrument with me 24/7. I can still share it and it's still useful... I'm participating in my school's chorale and I will be auditioning for the music ministry at my church this week! pray for me!

Until next post!
