Christmas Memory

As a young girl, all I wanted for Christmas were Barbie dolls and only Barbie dolls... nothing else. I remember at a family Christmas party, I cried after opening a present because it was a jacket or a pair of socks. Looking back, I thought it was embarrassing and pretty silly of me to cry over a gift I didn't get. Actually I just remembered something... I never received a Barbie doll at that family Christmas party. Wow, was I such a brat. And so the next Christmas, lo and behold, every single gift I received was a Barbie doll, which was how I got a whole collection of them! Practically on Christmases and birthdays, I would receive them... sometimes they weren't even gifts! I would be at Toys R Us and ask my mom or dad to buy me one. Ok, now I'm making myself sound really spoiled, but as I got older, I didn't ask for a lot of things... they were just more expensive. haha. Nowadays, as a college student, we want money and gift cards. or at least that's what I would want. But I'm not picky anymore! yay!

Alright, back to the Barbie dolls,
i regret giving them away after watching Toy Story 3 :\
I even had mary-kate and ashley dolls too....

I don't know why, but this year, all of a sudden, I am in love with Christmas decorations... mainly, lights. like REALLY in love. every time I drive by houses with so much lights on their front lawn, I get scared of getting into a car accident or something because I can't stop doing double takes! triple or quadruple! Seeing all the wonderful display of lights inspired me to decorate... I want lights on my house as well but to start off, I first put the lights and ornaments on my tree, and may I say, I'm pretty darn proud of myself. I had NO HELP whatsoever with the donning of lights. We got a real tree this year too because normally we would have our usual fake tree that already has the lights on it. I was really in the Christmas spirit! It made me happy inside... like a little child waiting for Santa to arrive or something. haha. I even put some lights on my living room window and taped some snowflakes ! since a few days ago, I could not stop admiring the tree... my living room.

thank you Dollar Tree and Michaels!
they are my absolute favorite right now.
