Clara Chung

"Change is the only constant we'll ever know"

she is such an inspiration
and it all began that very night at pepperdine when I actually had a nice conversation with her after the concert. it's a first because I get all shy and quiet and run away after I have a picture with someone pretty famous (on youtube). but because i became a fan after her performance, she was a regular person to me. I'm glad I had the guts to even say more than a sentence to her haha

anyways

her lyrics mean so much more than the music. as i was driving to visit some old friends, I thought about music and lyrics (haha no pun intended). in my mind i thought, "lyrics should not be overshadowed by the music" meaning there shouldn't be extra stuff in a song such as auto-tune and all these effects (the songs that we listen to on the radio for example) if the lyrics have so much to offer. just cut the theatrics. that's just my preference. that doesn't mean I only listen to acoustic and other music that doesn't involve a full band, no.

I like to explore what's out there. my ears have been yearning for something new. I'm even listening to some Indie music! just anything that's not on the radio haha

and I have choir to thank for this. because I now have a small appreciation for classical music.
