It's interesting and almost amazing how David can go from being this great king of Israel to being displeasing in God's eyes.

It takes years to build up a good reputation but seconds to destroy it. Bathsheba was his downfall... and it was all because of lust and fulfilling that desire.

So, I'm going to challenge myself to read the one year bible. I'm pretty motivated and I pray pray pray that I don't lose that 'want' to read the bible. I mean, it's only 15 minutes of your time!

speaking of reading, my reading list just keeps growing and growing. haha there's this small pile of books in my room just waiting to be picked up and read. that's what I will be doing when I'm at home, not on the computadora or watching tv. I'll be cooped up in my room reading. I guess it's the fact that it's summer that's making want to read. and then maybe once fall comes around the corner, I'll stick with it without skipping a day of reading a few chapters.

I'm such a horrible sister sometimes. here I am typing away and then my brother comes along talking about his day in school. man, my ears just want to close itself because I'm not in the mood to listen. My heart seriously needs to reconfigure itself or something. or it just needs to listen.
