Don't watch this movie

channing tatum you disappoint me

amanda seyfried was perfect
it was a little slow in the beginning... actually it was pretty slow throughout the entire movie

there were scenes where it had its moments

but overall, it wasn't that great

a lot of Nicolas Sparks's books that turned into movies such as A Walk to Remember and The Notebook all have the same theme. Aside from the fact that they're all dramatic and about romance, they all take place in North Carolina... and like the Notebook, the couples had to deal with distance in their relationship. oh yeah, there was a lot of letter writing, hence the title 'Dear John'

I probably shouldn't completely put the movie down without reading the book.

don't get me wrong, I love Nicolas Sparks's books. I've read some of his other books (ones that weren't movies), the hopeless romantic that I am. so the books that I'm adding to my reading list is Dear John and the Last Song. I have to wait until summer though... i can't read for fun throughout the school year. When I read a book, I read read read! I don't like working on other things and get busy in between, ya know?

I'm going to watch the Notebook sometime soon to forget Dear John

I don't know when... but I will!
